Earth Day is on 22nd April this year, we are invited to take further action to End Plastic Pollution.
Plastic pollution is poisoning our oceans and land, injuring marine life, and affecting our health!
St Marie Eugenie recognised that: "God the Father wills that the riches of Creation belong to all." and "We should try to avoid the suffering of anything that lives"
Pope Francis reminded us:
“Creation is not a property, which we can rule over at will; or, even less, is the property of only a few: Creation is a gift, it is a wonderful gift that God has given us, so that we care for it and we use it for the benefit of all, always with great respect and gratitude. Safeguard Creation. Because if we destroy Creation, Creation will destroy us! Never forget this!”
From St Marie Eugenie onwards, the Religious of the Assumption have a beautiful custom of the Superior General writing a 'Chapter', an extended reflection, for the great Feast of Christmas. Below is Sr Rekha's Chapter, addressed to all sisters and friends of the Assumption.

This Advent the Assumption Sisters offer two day-retreats in Milleret House to help us prepare spiritually for Christmas.
