Take a look at how the Concert for Ukraine in Twickenham went and how you can continue to donate for a great cause
On 28th June the Twickenham community of the Religious of the Assumption collaborated with Strawberry Hill Overseas and Community Concern (SHOCC) to organise a fundraising 'Concert for Ukraine' in the beautiful setting of the Waldegrave Drawing Room in St Mary's University, Twickenham.
The highly successful evening featured young Ukrainian Musicians from the London Performing Academy of Music (LPMAM), violinist Marina Raievska accompanied by Richard Black, singer Maryana Bodnar, and the Stefania Dance Ensemble.
Bishop Kenneth Nowakowski, the Bishop of the Ukrainian Catholic Church in London, not only led all present in a moving prayer for Ukraine, but auctioned a magnum of champagne raising a significant amount of money for the charities being supported.
All proceeds from the concert will be divided between the Assumption project to provide psychological support to teachers in Ukraine, and LPMAM.
Donations can be made here.
The sisters would like to thank St Mary's University for all their support for the concert, especially the Vice-Chancellor, Anthony McClaren, who introduced the evening.
